I’m ready to be rollin’ with all the pumpkin recipes.
This one uses just a little pumpkin puree to turn ordinary butter into something seasonally delicious.
Whipped Cinnamon Pumpkin Honey Butter
Cinnamon, honey, and pumpkin puree are whipped into softened butter until fluffy and light.
Fall flavor whipped into good old butter. You can’t go wrong. It’s so easy and takes about 5 minutes to make.
Spread it on rolls, toast, English muffins, regular muffins, and again, rolls. And if you are looking for a perfect roll recipe, check back tomorrow 😉
You won’t be dissapointed.
Wouldn’t this stuff make a great holiday gift? Put it in a cute little jar, throw on a kraft paper label, a little twine, and you’ve got yourself a tasty, seasonal gift to give!
- 2 sticks Butter(1 C. or 8 oz.), softened
- ¾ t. Cinnamon
- 6 T. Pumpkin Puree
- 4 T. Honey
- 1 t. Vanilla
- Beat the butter with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Add the cinnamon and 1 T. of the pumpkin puree. Beat until well combined. Continue beating, adding in 1 T. of pumpkin puree every 30 seconds.
- Add the honey and vanilla and beat until thick and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Keep refrigerated in a sealed container.
Yummmmm, I am excited for this recipe AND that roll recipe you hinted at 😀
Thanks Tina! This butter plus those rolls are THE best!
Can you use fresh homemade pumpkin puree?
Absolutely! Even better 😉
Thanx sooo much !it tastes fantastic!
Awesome! Glad to hear it!
Kayley, leave it to you to come up with something so simple, yet so delicious! HUGE butter lover here and I definitely need to try this for fall. Great post!
Thank you Bill! Butter is #1 in my opinion and if you like butter you’ll love this! =)
Oh, so jealous. Why didn’t I think of this? Seriously, this looks incredible. I’ve got to make it right away…how yummy it would be on biscuits!
Haha, Thank you Lorinda! It would be good on biscuits! I just had it on a homemade english muffin and it was SO good!
Yum – I’m totally into all the fall pumpkin recipes you’re churning out and this butter is no exception. Come at me, fall! I’m READY.
Thanks Sarah! Let the fall baking commence!
I definitely could devour a bowlful of this delicious butter right now.. pumpkin, cinnamon and honey is an awesome flavour combination and I can imagine how great this tastes! Pinned!
Thank you Thalia!!
Now this butter looks AMAZING!! Pinned & Sharing on Facebook 🙂
Thank you so much, Marla!
We can’t wait to try this out! Fantastic idea! Yum!
Thank you! I hope you like it!
This looks so delicious. Approximately how long will this keep in the refrigerator?
Thank you Kelly! It should last at least a week. Maybe longer, though I wouldn’t keep it past that because I’m a little paranoid 😉
Have you tried canning this? I would love to make this to have all year round!
Hi Sara! I’m not sure that you can can butter, but it should freeze quite well!
Hi! I was wondering if the you used unsalted butter. I think I would use half salted and half unsalted butter. What do you think?
Hi Anabel! I use salted butter, but if you wanted to use unsalted I’m sure it would be fine. A little less flavorful, though. =)
just saw this on pinterest. . this is amazing!!! yum! and totally making this!
Thanks Alice! =)
What a great addition to a Thanksgiving table, although waiting that long to try this recipe may be hard. Pinned to my “Taste of Fall” board. Thanks!
I can’t wait to try this! Has anybody tried this with Pumpkin Pie Spice instead of the cinnamon?
I am going to make this as favors at a “little pumpkin” baby shower…where did you find your cute little jars?
That will be so cute, Jenn! I’m not sure exactly where I found the jars, but they are just little tiny mason jars…most likely craft or hobby stores would carry them =)
What a wonderful, simple recipe Kayley! Thank you for sharing. I featured your recipe on my blog today and hope I did it justice!
Your blog is great, and more importantly, your ideas are wonderful. There are so many more recipes I am looking forward to trying!

I “stumbled” across your recipe totally by accident & am so happy I did. I’ve made a lot of flavored butters in recent yrs, but this is clearly my favorite. It’s so good that I could eat it w/a spoon, but so far I’ve used it on toast & bagels. I did add a pinch of nutmeg & ground cloves, but otherwise followed the recipe. This is such a brilliant idea & will be shared w/my cooking friends. 🙂
Thank you so much, Mary! I’m glad you liked it! We love it on toast and bagels too =)
I’m lactose intolerant (unfortunately). So I’m wondering if this would work with coconut oil, or with some other alternative. Do you have any suggestions? Cause this looks delicious!
You could try whipping it with firm coconut oil. I haven’t tried it so I can’t say for sure that it would work, but let me know how it turns out if you try it!
How much does this recipe make?
Just made it! Delicious! I will definitely make this again, was thinking of adding a bit of peanut butter to the next batch, and another with pumpkin pie spice instead of just cinnamon.
Silly question can anyone tell me if this tastes like baby food lol I made a pumpkin butter and it was not good lol also how much does this make??? I want to make this as a party favor thank you!!!
1 c of butter = 1 cup of butter
Your photographs are amazing.
What camera do you use and what aperture do you use?
Thank you! I use a Nikon D40 with a prime lens. My aperture can vary anywhere from a 1.8 up to a 6 🙂
How long will this keep in the fridge? I want to make some ahead of time for all my Thanksgiving company.
It should keep for a week or so =)
I’m sorry is your “t” for teaspoon or tablespoon?
teaspoon =)
Earlier in the comment thread you said this item could be frozen and kept for a later date.
Have you tried freezing it? How was the texture once it defrosted? Was it about the same of did the quality suffer?
Let me know 🙂
Thanks a bunch!
Is the Vanilla in the recipe Vanilla extract?
Yes 🙂
Thanks for this recipe! I featured it in my food blog’s recipe round up for the “Twenty Best “No-Oven” Thanksgiving Side-Dish Recipes.” Check it out!

Would this work with homemade butter?? 🙂
It should! ?
I would love to make this for a shower favor it is so simple and perfect! I need to make about 50 favors and I was thinking about 8 oz. for each favor. how many batches would I need? Do you have a “number of servings” estimate for this recipe? Thanks for your help and awesome delicious creation!!
