Lamb Turkey Burgers w/ Cucumber Yogurt Sauce
Serves: 8-10 Burgers
 
Ingredients
  • 1½ lb. Ground Lamb(24 oz.)
  • 20 oz. Ground Turkey
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • ⅔ C. Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper
  • ¼ C. Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 C. Plain Yogurt
  • ½ Cucumber, peeled, seeded, small dice
  • 2 tablespoons Red Onion, finely diced
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pickled Onions
  • 8-10 Hamburger Buns
Instructions
  1. Add the ground lamb, ground turkey, olive oil, feta crumbles, salt, pepper, and parsley to a large bowl. Using you hands, mix the ingredients together well.
  2. Divide into 8-10 portions and shape each portion into a patty, taking care not to make them too thick.
  3. Heat a frying pan with a drizzle of olive oil. When it's hot, add the patties and cook on medium/high heat for about 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  4. Serve burgers with hamburger buns, cucumber sauce, and pickled onion.
  5. FOR THE CUCUMBER SAUCE:
  6. Add the yogurt, lemon juice, diced cucumber, diced onion, and garlic to a small bowl and combine. Add salt to taste.
